The resumption of flights to the Maldives depends on the reopening of the countrys air space and the lifting of travel restrictions imposed by the government of the Maldives. Currently, the Ministry of Tourism has announced the reopening of resorts in the Maldives starting from 1 July 2020.
Flight schedules may be affected by the local health authorities in the destination country and any corresponding restrictions imposed by the government, as well as the availability of necessary supplies and equipment, the number of incoming and outgoing flights, and the availability of air routes.
All the airports in the Maldives are currently open and operational. However, flights to and from some countries may not be allowed due to the travel restrictions imposed by the Maldives government.
Passengers travelling to the Maldives are required to present a valid negative PCR test and a valid passport, in addition to completing relevant health questionnaires and temperature checks before departure.
