Webcheckin is an online travel platform where travellers can search, compare, and book flights to destinations around the world.
Through international reservation and distribution systems, Webcheckin gives travellers access to airline flight information, fares, availability, and booking options.
The details of Webcheckin, as shown on the website and used in these terms, are:
These general terms and conditions cover every use of the website and every request, reservation, booking, and payment made through Webcheckin.
By completing a booking, the customer confirms acceptance of:
Where the airline's conditions differ from these terms, the airline's conditions govern the performance of the flight.
Webcheckin may update these terms when legislation, services, systems, or affiliated partners change. A booking is governed by the version in effect at the time it was made.
Webcheckin is an online travel agency. It acts as an intermediary, reseller, and/or booking platform for flight tickets.
Through its platform, Webcheckin arranges bookings between travellers and airlines.
Operating the flight is the responsibility of the airline.
Webcheckin is not an airline and operates no flights of its own.
Webcheckin is responsible for its own services. These include processing the booking request, payment, confirmation, and communication, to the extent these fall within its sphere of influence.
Operational decisions taken by airlines are outside Webcheckin's responsibility. Examples are cancellations, delays, schedule changes, overbooking, baggage handling, and refusal of carriage.
As an intermediary, Webcheckin sells flight tickets on behalf of airlines or through airline systems.
The contract of carriage is concluded between the traveller and the airline.
Only customers aged 18 or older may make a booking.
A customer who books for several travellers acts as the lead booker.
The lead booker confirms having the authority to book on behalf of all travellers and to accept these terms for them.
Any information Webcheckin gives to the lead booker is treated as also given to the other travellers.
The lead booker is responsible for making sure the details of all travellers are accurate.
A booking through Webcheckin follows these steps:
A booking becomes final only when:
A confirmation that the booking request was received does not by itself mean that the ticket has been definitively issued.
Fares, availability, and conditions may change until the ticket is issued.
If the ticket cannot be issued, the customer receives a refund of the amount paid. This does not apply in cases of fraud or misuse, or where costs have already been irrevocably incurred at the customer's request.
The displayed prices are based on real-time or near real-time information from airlines, Amadeus, AirGateway, and other systems.
Prices may consist of:
Despite careful systems, prices and availability may change between the time of searching and ticket issuance.
Webcheckin is not bound by manifest errors, system errors, publication errors, or fares that an average traveller could reasonably understand to be incorrect.
If a price changes before the ticket is issued, Webcheckin may:
Local taxes, tourist levies, departure taxes, or airport charges levied at the destination are not always included and are at the traveller's expense.
Webcheckin is not liable for errors or inaccuracies originating from external systems such as Amadeus and AirGateway.
Webcheckin may charge service fees for its services.
Service fees are stated during the booking process.
Service fees are in principle non-refundable, as they relate to services already rendered by Webcheckin.
For changes, cancellations, refund requests, name corrections, baggage requests, seat reservations, or other additional requests, Webcheckin may charge administration fees.
These fees are separate from costs charged by the airline.
If the airline does not grant a refund, any service and administration fees remain payable.
Payment must be made in full immediately during the booking process.
Webcheckin may use external payment providers, such as Mollie.
The customer is responsible for using a valid and permitted payment method.
Webcheckin may refuse, suspend, or cancel a booking in the event of:
In case of fraud or suspected fraud, Webcheckin may share data with payment providers, banks, authorities, or fraud prevention partners to the extent permitted by law.
Any costs resulting from chargebacks or unjustified disputes may be passed on to the customer.
Webcheckin is not obligated to pre-finance refunds and is only required to repay amounts after and to the extent received from the airline.
In the event of unjustified chargebacks, Webcheckin reserves the right to recover costs and damages from the customer.
The customer is responsible for correctly entering all traveller details.
Names must exactly match the passport or identity document used for travel.
Errors in names, dates of birth, gender, document details, or contact information may lead to refusal of carriage.
Webcheckin cannot guarantee that details can still be changed after ticket issuance.
If a change is possible, airline fees and Webcheckin administration fees may apply.
Some airlines do not permit name changes. In that case, a new ticket may be required.
The traveller is personally responsible for valid travel documents.
Travel documents include, among others:
Visa or transit requirements may also apply during stopovers.
Webcheckin may provide general information, but this information is never a substitute for official information from governments, embassies, or consulates.
If a traveller is refused due to missing or incorrect documents, Webcheckin is not liable.
All costs resulting from refused entry, missed flights, or necessary rebookings are at the traveller's expense.
Additional rules may apply for minors.
Some airlines only accept minors under certain conditions.
Travelling with minors without both parents may require additional documents.
The lead booker is responsible for verifying these rules.
Webcheckin is not liable if a minor is not permitted to travel due to missing consent or documents.
Travellers with medical conditions, pregnancy, limited mobility, or special needs must verify before booking whether travel is possible.
Airlines may require additional documents, such as medical certificates.
Webcheckin can pass on assistance requests or preferences to the airline upon request, but cannot guarantee acceptance.
Special assistance, wheelchair service, medical devices, pets, meal preferences, and seat preferences are always subject to airline approval.
Webcheckin is not liable if an airline refuses, modifies, or cancels a request.
Flight tickets are issued electronically.
The ticket is sent to the email address provided during booking.
The customer is responsible for checking spam filters, mailbox settings, and the accuracy of the email address.
If the customer does not receive a ticket within the specified timeframe, the customer must contact Webcheckin immediately.
Non-receipt of an email does not relieve the customer of the obligation to verify flight status and booking.
Flight times, flight numbers, routes, and aircraft may change.
These changes are determined by the airline.
Webcheckin will make efforts to communicate changes when received in a timely manner.
The traveller remains personally responsible for checking current flight information with the airline.
Webcheckin recommends checking flight information at a minimum:
Webcheckin is not liable for damages because a traveller did not notice a schedule change in time, unless this is directly due to a demonstrable error by Webcheckin.
If an airline cancels a flight, the airline's terms and legal obligations apply.
Any rights to refund, alternative transport, or compensation must in principle be claimed directly from the operating airline.
Any compensation claims must be submitted directly to the operating airline.
Webcheckin can assist the customer in requesting a refund, but is dependent on the airline.
Any compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004 must be requested directly from the airline, unless Webcheckin explicitly offers to assist.
Baggage rules are determined by the airline.
Webcheckin provides information about baggage conditions as provided by the airline.
Baggage allowances can vary significantly between airlines and fare types.
The customer is responsible for checking the applicable baggage conditions before travel.
Baggage fees are determined by the airline.
Webcheckin is not liable for lost, damaged, or delayed baggage.
Baggage claims must be submitted directly to the airline, often via a PIR report at the airport.
Seat selection, meals, priority boarding, extra baggage, and other services are subject to availability and airline approval.
A requested preference does not constitute a guarantee.
If an airline changes or cancels a seat, meal, or extra service, Webcheckin is not liable.
Refunds for extra services are subject to the airline's conditions.
The traveller is personally responsible for checking in on time.
Some airlines charge fees for airport check-in.
Webcheckin is not liable for costs due to late or failed online check-in.
The traveller must check for themselves from when online check-in is available.
The traveller is personally responsible for arriving at the airport on time.
Webcheckin recommends arriving at least:
During busy periods, extra checks, or special circumstances, additional time may be needed.
Webcheckin is not liable if a traveller misses a flight due to late arrival.
Changes are only possible if the airline and fare conditions permit this.
Changes may relate to:
The customer pays:
A change is only final after confirmation by the airline.
Until that confirmation, prices and availability may change.
Many flight tickets are non-refundable or only partially refundable.
Whether cancellation is possible depends on the airline and fare conditions.
If cancellation is possible, fees may be deducted.
These fees may amount to 100% of the ticket price.
Service fees and administration fees of Webcheckin are not refunded, unless legally required.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in a timely manner.
Requests close to departure may no longer be processable.
Refunds are subject to airline approval.
Webcheckin only pays out a refund after it has received the amount from the airline or supplier.
Refunds are returned via the original payment method, unless technically or legally not possible.
Processing may take 8 to 12 weeks and in exceptional cases longer.
Webcheckin is not liable for delays by airlines, banks, or payment providers.
If an airline issues a voucher instead of money, the airline's conditions apply.
Webcheckin is not obligated to pre-finance a refund from its own funds.
Service fees are charged for Webcheckin's services.
These services are rendered once the booking request has been processed.
Therefore, service fees are in principle not refunded.
Administration fees may apply for handling refund requests.
If legislation mandates otherwise, Webcheckin will comply with that legislation.
If a customer disputes a payment while the booking was correctly processed, Webcheckin may share evidence of booking, payment, and communication with the payment provider.
Unjustified chargebacks may result in additional costs.
Webcheckin may offset outstanding amounts against any refunds.
In cases of misuse, Webcheckin may refuse further services.
Webcheckin primarily sells individual flight tickets, unless clearly stated otherwise during the booking process.
If Webcheckin combines multiple travel services, this may constitute a package holiday or linked travel arrangement.
In that case, additional legal rules may apply.
Webcheckin will indicate before booking when a package holiday or linked travel arrangement is involved.
If only an individual flight ticket is booked, the rules for individual travel services apply.
Webcheckin is solely liable for errors in its own services.
Webcheckin is not liable for:
If Webcheckin is liable, this liability is limited to direct damages.
Indirect damages, consequential damages, missed connections, lost income, business damages, and non-material damages are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Webcheckin's liability is limited to a maximum of the amount the customer paid Webcheckin for the relevant booking, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
This limitation does not apply in cases of intent, deliberate recklessness, or personal injury caused by Webcheckin.
Webcheckin is not liable in cases of force majeure.
Force majeure includes, among others:
Webcheckin will make efforts to inform and support the customer where possible, but is not obligated to compensate for damages resulting from force majeure.
Complaints about the operation of the flight must be submitted to the airline.
Complaints about Webcheckin's services can be submitted via contact@webcheckin.info.
The complaint must be reported as soon as possible, but no later than two months after the original travel date.
Webcheckin will carefully assess complaints.
If a complaint is submitted too late and Webcheckin can no longer reasonably investigate or resolve it, this may affect the handling of the complaint.
Dutch law applies to these terms.
If the customer is a consumer, the mandatory consumer rights of the customer's country of residence remain applicable.
Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
The customer may also make use of applicable dispute resolution procedures via ANVR if the relevant booking qualifies.
The European Commission offers a platform for online dispute resolution.
Webcheckin makes every effort to keep the website safe, available, and accurate.
Webcheckin does not guarantee that the website will always function without errors or interruptions.
The website may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, failures, or technical issues.
Webcheckin is not liable for damages due to the temporary unavailability of the website.
Information about flights, fares, baggage, times, and conditions is sourced from airlines, distribution systems, and other third parties.
Webcheckin strives for accuracy, but cannot guarantee that all information is always complete or error-free.
The customer must verify all details before booking.
Manifest errors are not binding on Webcheckin.
All texts, logos, designs, software, databases, and other components of the website are the property of Webcheckin or its licensors.
Use, copying, or distribution without permission is not permitted.
It is not permitted to scrape, automatically read, or commercially re-use the website without written permission.
Webcheckin processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
Personal data is used for:
More information is included in Webcheckin's privacy policy.
By booking, the customer confirms having read the privacy policy.
Webcheckin processes personal data in the context of its services, including facilitating bookings, payments, and customer service.
Webcheckin uses external systems, platforms, and service providers, including but not limited to reservation systems, payment providers, and technical development and hosting partners. These parties may act as processors or sub-processors under applicable privacy legislation.
Webcheckin carefully selects these parties and implements appropriate contractual and technical measures to protect personal data, including entering into data processing agreements and, where applicable, using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
The customer acknowledges and accepts that personal data may be processed and/or stored outside the European Economic Area if necessary for the performance of the agreement. In such cases, Webcheckin ensures appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable law.
Webcheckin is not liable for damages resulting from the actions or omissions of external processors, unless intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of Webcheckin is involved.
Webcheckin's liability in relation to data processing is in all cases limited to what is determined in the liability article of these terms.
More information about the processing of personal data is included in Webcheckin's privacy policy.
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
Webcheckin will replace the invalid provision with a provision that aligns as closely as possible with the purpose of the original provision.
The Dutch text of these terms is authoritative.
Deviations are only valid if confirmed in writing by Webcheckin.
